Black Struggle vs. Gay Struggle

This week I've been disappointed as Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton publicly support and encourage others to support President Obama's stance on gay marriage.

I am always concerned when I hear someone try to parallel the struggle of homosexuals with blacks. Blacks don't have closets that they can reside in until they decide to come out. Blacks cannot adorn a facade until they feel the coast is clear.

We were sold, beaten, or wives and daughters raped, out children taught to see themselves as lest than human, even today the mental scares remain in our society. And that's is compared to someone who makes a decision to submit to a sinful lifestyle!!!

Societal norms and personal/political agendas should not be the metric for our moral compass. Trying to jump on the bandwagon to settle in people's spirits what they know is wrong... that simply does not make it right. Shame on Al & Jesse for doing that. If the POTUS shares his opinion that is one thing - but Al & Jesse, who I thought were reading from the same Bible I am, is unacceptable

I welcome your thoughts...
